Norris & Partners was formed with one vision – to be the most senior network of recruitment professionals to service the recruitment industry, providing a strategic level of rec2rec solutions to its’ clients, and to be able to steer each candidate’s career in a positive direction.
We believe we have, in a relatively short period of time, delivered on that. Now Norris & Partners is expanding its' network to incorporate other senior professionals, and new service offerings.
Lisa Norris - Director
I started my recruitment career in 1991, joining Diversiti, part of the Chandler Macleod Group. After five years I moved to London to further my career and opened the IT division of Robert Walters. I built this fledging business from two staff to more than 50 IT recruiters in a three year period and was key to the company’s strategy to publicly list.
Returning to Australia, I joined Randstad (IT), where my job was Australian Head as well as General Manager Sales. I moved to Spherion, one of the world’s largest publicly listed recruitment companies. Spherion was acquired by Julia Ross and on acquisition I became Regional Manager Australia. My most recent job was as the Regional Director of Aquent, overseeing Australia and New Zealand operations, responsible for a network of six offices and more than 70 staff.
The value I personally add to my clients and candidates is after 20 years in the recruitment industry both locally and overseas, I have an extensive knowledge of the recruitment market, its' internal and external workings, trends and forecasts and I can pass this advice and guidance onto you.
Kristin Fussell - Senior Consultant
I started my recruitment career over 11 years ago, specialising in the placement of office support professionals across a generalist client base. During my career, I have worked for some of the larger recruitment organisations like Hudson and Randstad, as well as boutique companies. In 2006 I co-owned and partnered in a boutique recruitment company, Karen Fussell & Associates, specialising in the placement of executive level support staff to senior level management within the financial services sector.
Having developed a strong knowledge and network of the Sydney recruitment industry, Rec2Rec and joining Lisa was the next obvious move. I wanted to share my knowledge and passion, within an industry which has played a big part in who I am today, and work for a business that never compromises on the quality of service, or candidates, they present.
James Telfer - Managing Consultant, Melbourne
My recruitment career started in an in-house role in a Telecoms software company in 1996. Soon after this I joined Alexander Mann Solutions as an outsourced Recruitment Manager, working on foundation RPO client solutions such as Sema Group and ICL / Fujitsu. In the years that followed I delivered recruitment projects to technology clients such as CGE&Y, CSC and ICL Fujitsu. In January 2004 I transferred as part of a project implementation team to Melbourne, where we established ANZ Careers in a high profile new contract win. Initially responsible for technology recruitment for the bank, I was later promoted to manage the Volume Recruitment team, responsible for all call centre, retail branch network and internal recruitment.
Following a successful period spent recruiting senior level sales staff into another client, HP, I moved to Alcatel-Lucent as Australasian Head of Recruitment. In this role I was accountable for the end to end recruitment function, and built the system, process and team which allowed the company to grow it's headcount in ANZ from 2,000 to 3,000 within 18 months.
I have joined Lisa and the team in order to bring a capability in the space of internal recruitment, and also to solidify our presence in the Melbourne market. In this role I am delighted to share my passion for recruitment with a group of like minded people, and look forward to working with the best candidates and clients in our industry.
CPE Committee Member, Accredited Recruitment Professional and Corporate Member of the RCSA
I have been part of the CPE committee of the RCSA since Norris & Partners' inception. This committee is responsible for providing the industry with training and development in the form of breakfast seminars, workshops, structured training courses and WebinRs. I have actively participated in organising, speaking at and sponsoring some of the Association's events, such as the NSW Consultant Panel and NSW Annual Charity Fundraiser. In addition I am an Accredited Recruitment Professional, and Norris & Partners is a Corporate Member of the RCSA.
